Active day

It was my usual day again where I get up, have breakfast, before making my way to Nottingham for my counselling session. Which has slowly helped me.But this time today my Mum was coming with me, because after my session we were having a day out together while there.

After counselling, first stop was somewhere for dinner. I thought Pizza Hut would be a good place, as we both have never been in one before, and I wanted to go somewhere different where I have never been. I know Pizza Hut had a kind of make over and change how they do things, but I never realised exactly just how much. Wow! I was impressed! It did not feel like a take away, it felt and looked like a restaurant, and I was surprised what drinks were available. We both had a salmon pasta bake. We don’t like garlic normally with things we’ve had in the past, but we both decided to try the garlic bread that was with our dish. If we did not like it we could always leave the garlic bread. And we were surprised, as we discovered we could eat it. Not alot! But we liked it! Will be telling Richard Saturday when I see him, as he reckoned I would like it. Mum had a J2O drink and I had a smoothie. We nearly bought a bottle of wine between us! Mum was already thinking about a dessert before we got our dinner, but she discovered she was full to fit that in!

We then had a look around a few shops. I bought a fleece jacket I needed for my outer jacket I bought a few weeks back from trespass, then we went into Publishers Book Clearance, where I bought a Collins Compact Dictionary and Thesaurus book, which will come in handy. Mum bought a few books too, one which I started reading on the bus on our way back from Nottingham to Sutton, which I got to grips with from the start. So she’s let me take it home to read first, as she still reading the one I’d lent her. I’m already a quarter a way through it! It’s called Lord Loss by Darren Shan.

When we got back to Sutton, our last stop before going our separate ways was at Wilkinsons. Mum wanted to get some bulbs for her garden, and I wanted more silk flowers etc.. the same sort I’d bought yesterday. So I could fill a vase up better. This will be displayed in my study. Something to look at.

After a couple of hours rest, I went out with my friend Anne, after she called round at the flat from doing her shift at a charity shop. We called back her place before making our way to a pub where we’ve been before for a meal. I had broccoli and brie prepared for me as there was no chicken in the carvery. But I have had this before so I know its nice. Had a selection of veg from choices available with a drizzle of parsley sauce over my veg, and a bit of cranberry sauce on the side. Lovely! :) For my drink, I had a glass of Bulmer’s pear cider.

From there we then made our ways home.

Tomorrow I’m off to Newark. :)

North Norfolk Day Trip

Had to be at the bus station for Butler Brothers  coach to pick me up at 8.15am.  After everyone was picked up along the way, we were all on our way. Somewhere half way we stopped off for half an hour break, before heading to Sheringham, which we got there at 12.30pm. and stopped till 2.30pm.. Where the coach dropped us off, the train station was right next door.

I’ve never been here before or Cromer where I went next, but you could not get lost around here, in Sheringham wasn’t too big, and it was a lovely place to visit.

In between all the walking about, I went first down to the beach. There were lovely murals along there.Here’s one of them I took a picture of showing seals at play. This was done by a bloke called Colin Seal, and this is the following website I also made note of while looking at this mural. http://www.seaside-art.com

I then went into some shops to buy gifts for my Mum, Richard and Kath, and bought a few essentials for myself that I needed. Did not spend as much as I thought I would while here! Tried lobster for the first time too. Lovely! For a cool down and to rest my legs, I popped into Rallentando for a strawberry milkshake.

Before getting back on coach, I went back to the train station to take a picture of the train that was in.

From Sheringham the coach then took us to Cromer, which we stayed there till 5pm. I hung about with my friend while in this area. The area was much bigger, so obviously more to see, and surprisingly we did not get lost! I treated myself to a bracelet while here and had an ice-cream to cool me down, as the weather was still lovely and hot. The area was nice but too big to see everything, but I felt I seen most of what I wanted to see.

Anne got me in the sea for a paddle. Have not done that for along time, and it was great to feel the sand beneath my feet. On the way back to the coach we had some chips between us.

What I noticed about while in Sheringham and Cromer, there were lots of butterflies. Something I don’t see like this back home.

And on the way going and coming back from my trip, it was lovely to see just fields, a bit of woodland and farmland.To say that we are supposed to be losing or at risk of losing lovely views like this to housing development in places around the country, I was very surprised in the views I was seeing. It was more than I expected, and it was lovely. We definitely need to keep lovely views like this to see.

Hope the weather is nice Saturday

I’m hoping the weather will be nice this Saturday, but I hear from my boyfriend Richard, that apparently they’ve gave out rain. But hopefully like sometimes it does, the weather will do an opposite. Me and Richard are going out on our first day trip together, to Skegness.

I plan to walk on the beach bare foot, and maybe a paddle in the sea, if the weather turns out good.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Update: Weather turned out to be lovely when we were at Skegness. There was the odd shower but nothing to complain about, and not enough to get soaked. It was mainly dry.
It started to get really hot where we had to take our coats off towards the end of the day. It good day out that we both enjoyed.
Loughborough boat trip
Today was when I went on a boat trip at Loughborough, that Peter Le Marchant Trust provide. Click on this link for more details about them at http://www.peterlemarchanttrust.co.uk/index.html
I had to wait outside New Cross Community Church for being picked up. Two small mini buses pulled up to take us there. My friend Anne was already on one mini bus as it picked her up before me, which this was the mini bus for me to get on also. But I also had a surprise this morning, my friend, Kath called at my flat and she was coming on this trip too. Anne and Kath had kept this quiet for a good few months, to surprise me on the day. And it WAS a SURPRISE! Once we were all all picked up there, we were on our way to Loughborough!
Some had been on this boat trip before that were there, including my friend Anne. My friend Kath had been to Loughborough before along time ago, but not on a boat trip. I’ve never been here or been on a boat before, so this was a new experience all round that I enjoyed and found relaxing. And thankfully the weather was nice too. :)
Here are some photos I’d taken on my camera phone, while inside the boat. I only went on one occassion to the top deck as I felt more at ease inside the boat.
I seen lots of ducks and mallards with their young, and it was lovely to see the swans with their young too, which I was not quick enough to take a picture of them, as I enjoyed watching the young trying to keep up with their parents. I thought it was rather cute how they seem to wobble along in the water.
 At one point I seen geese with their young as well, and coots. There were lots of dragonflys about as well, which I like to see.
I had to edit this picture before displaying on here, as my camera phone had taken more than the eye could see.
As I took it, my friend was laughing and trying to get my attention, and I noticed some others were laughing and speaking out loud too, but I wanted to take this shot of the swan that went by. After I done taking it, my friend told me that out on the bank, on a property just out of view of this picture, a bloke was sitting stark naked for everyone to see. She thought that I noticed and that I was taking a picture of him. But I was totally unaware. So when I got home, I had to edit this, as I got more than I bargained for, as my camera phone took more than I originally seen. I can’t believe this did not catch my eye!
