Waiting game

As you know, I’m after moving to a new home. Thanks to my nuisance neighbour and his friends, my flat no longer feels like home anymore. I had to have another long weekend away recently, as so I wouldn’t go mad. I have panic attacks that luckily I’m aware before they start too bad, so I can control them when either going to work, or coming back to my flat.

Since recent events that I can’t go into that resulted me having this long weekend away, turned out to affect work for the first time last week, in which I did not go into work that Thursday evening due to no sleep night before. Work was un-supportive in this. So don’t feel I can really talk to anyone now there. :( It resulted me in being unpaid for that evening, but that I expected anyway and not bothered about that. I’m angry with my neighbour etc.. for me being unpaid, not work. I’m just not happy with how I was treated at work the next day I went in, which me feeling low as I do at the moment, I did not think I could feel any lower :( And I ask myself, WHY is this happening to me? What the hell have I done to deserve all this? :( I feel I’m in a vicious circle and can’t get out.

My cat Lady was at her lowest last week too. She had a whole day where she refused to take her tablet by normal means, which would have continued into the second day, had I not intervened and put it down her mouth to hopefully get her to swallow….which she did! But as I let her go, she very very slowly crept away, which got me worried. I only realised when I got up, that she had wet herself. So I was upset to see Lady was at her lowest too! \And she still not herself since that day. But thankfully she’s taking her medication her usual way rather than intervening.

I’ve been waiting for a few weeks now, in hoping to view this private house I have my eye on. But they still can’t tell me more in when I can view, as still in courts hands regarding previous tennants they are evicting. I have to just hope and keep ringing that it will be anytime soon. Which I thought it would have been, knowing they were seen moving stuff into a van.

While I’ve been waiting for this property, I have viewed two other properties which turned out they were not much better. So with this one I wait for, I hope its third time lucky! But if there is still no news as when tomorrow, then I am going to view another property, with another company I’ve spotted and got in touch with instead recently, and go from there. I might as well look and see other options while waiting.

With a new bank now

With a new bank now. I went to Nationwide after not long writing last post, and have opened an account with them. I have them already regarding savings, but before opening this account I discussed my needs with them, and as I mentioned in my comments on last post, I opened one with them after realising they are the one for me. They were very helpful and couldn’t do enough. They even shown me how there internet banking works. Any problems that need a phone call, I’m just to call in at my local branch and they will help me out. If it involves phoning someone, they will phone for me on my behalf after gaining permission, and they will relay the conversation to me.

Why didn’t I just open it sooner with them? Maybe better late than never, hey!

Banks…Arrrrrrrr!

Banks.. Arrrrrrr!

My last post “Had to take it further and now its sorted!” was when I let you know I had to take it further with my bank, but after being given a chance to sort it by Ombudsman, before I could take it further, it was sorted, or so I thought. And it was left to that.

Well just recently this month, I needed to get in touch as I have a problem, and using the agreed methods of contacting, I decided to write a letter. I’ve received no letter. So last night I sent a secured message which I received a response, and its started all over again. I’m to phone. HELLO…… Alliance & Leicester, WHICH part of HOH or deafness did you not understand. I was reassured this would not happen again. I was told in letter I could write, send a secure message, or go into any local branch. But you did not answer my letter, and when I sent a secure message I’m now expected to phone! DID I NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM LAST YEAR??

Well I’ve sent a reply of disgust via secure message, so I’m looking forward to their response. This lady who wrote to me higher up at a different A & L branch sent me apologies, and reassured me it would not happen again. AND IT HAS! So this customer service are either ignoring it, or she did not discuss it with them in the first place when I complained.

Well my comment I made to this person last year by letter who apologised, still stands. You lot at Alliance and Leicester need Deaf Awareness Training because I seriously feel let down by you ALL. You are not accessible in my eyes for deaf people, because what I’m told I can do as in means, in what way I can contact you, you are failing on.

Got it sorted!

Received an email from PALS after I complained about Audiology. They had spoken to a Specialist Audiologist on there about my difficulties, and I have her email address as so when I need to contact them for repairs, or appointments, I could use her email to do that.

Which when I tried this email address, it worked! So I’ll be collecting my tubing for my hearing aids today.

Friday the 13th

Its Friday the 13th tomorrow. How do you see it? I know I’ve come across people in a worried tone of voice saying Friday 13th tomorrow. But personally myself and my boyfriend thinks this way too, there’s nothing unlucky about it, its just an old superstition. If you are going to be worried in that way regarding that day tomorrow as the unluckiest thing then its more likely gonna happen. I treat Friday 13th like any other day and never let this superstition bother me. I’ve had unlucky days but its never landed on this, so my unlucky number can be any of those to me if I wanted.

However you spend your day tomorrow, enjoy it like any other day!

Ended up putting in a complaint to PALS after all!

Well today I ended up putting in a complaint to PALS about Audiology. To see in depth the problem I had with them, look under tag ‘Audiology’ and this will bring up the two posts I previously written.

I needed to contact them today so I could request tubing for my hearing aids, so they have warning like they wanted so it would be ready to collect later that day. Although for my convenience I wasn’t in any hurry so wasn’t planning to collect until Friday.

So using this other email address that was given to me when I had to last time call in, because previous email address wasn’t working, I started to write my email out as advised and put in the address they had given, only to find this was not going anywhere either. There was no way I was going to play about with this email address like I did with the other for half an hour, only to probably find the same thing it not going anywhere, so I’ve emailed PALS and told them the problem, and asking them to either email me or get Audiology to as so its typed down as it should be put, as to save any confusion, and hopefully…. this time…. I’ll have a working email address!

I’ll keep you posted!

Is your lotto ticket valid – Part 3

As you know from earlier post I recently discovered a lotto ticket I bought, which I won £10 on I discovered I could not cash because it was cancelled, and in the end I had to send it to Camelot for investigation. I did not receive a phone call last week as I thought I was getting, but maybe I heard wrong. I don’t know. But I emailed them anyway to see what was happening in which I got a very quick response saying I should receive my cheque for winning ticket any day soon, and money for cost of sending a few days later. Well I received my £10 cheque today, but still not a clear explanation as to exactly when it was cancelled which I thought they would. Maybe they can’t discuss that I don’t know. But I still reckon as they said more likely it was where I got it from to blame. Which if I ever buy a ticket again, it definitly won’t be from there, and I will go where I usually go.

Follow up on foot

Went today to see my surgeon for follow up on foot so he could see how I got on since operation last year, which when I got there I seen a trainee who was learning, who after asked how I was and any problems discussed it with my surgeon.

On a whole I’m alot better for having the op than before. Its nice not to have any pain on ball of my foot when I walk, or pain on the ankle where a growth used to be. But I mentioned about the soreness I was getting instead down the side of my foot from the ankle which sometimes pulls up the leg.

After she seen my surgeon to discuss my case, it was recommended putting me forward for an insole to stabilise my foot a little, as he thinks my tendons are overworking because of how my foot was before, and the insole I worn then.

I wasn’t keen on this idea as having the operation originally meant I could go without insoles in my shoes, as well as being pain free. Otherwise it would be back to wearing trainers all the time or granny shoes. It was mentioned I’d probably not need them all the time, probably just for long walks I do and that it probably wouldn’t be long term either, as they’d still be healing going on so will possibly get better later. But I still not keen on another insole. Instead I’ll see what the next few months hold, as I thought to myself it will probably be July to notice more improvement anyway.

I have an open appointment anyway for 6 months, so if I change my mind about insole, or if it gets worse or concerns I may have, I can get in touch with them directly. So I’ll see how I go. If no improvement I may consider it. But how my foot was before to now, its much better!
